THIS ISN'T POLITICS - THIS IS A MOVEMENT!
FIGHTING FOR DECENCY, DEMOCRACY & REAL CHANGE
Meet Daquan Neal
A Leader Forged by Resilience and Purpose
Daquan Neal’s life story is living proof that adversity does not define us — how we rise does.
As a young adult, Daquan faced one of the darkest periods imaginable. He battled severe depression, dropped out of college twice, and was diagnosed with Stage III kidney failure. Instead of giving up, he chose to fight for his health, his future, and his purpose.
That fight transformed him into the leader he is today.

Daquan returned to school with renewed determination and graduated from Central State University, Ohio’s historic HBCU, as an Honors College scholar with a 4.0 GPA. He earned dual degrees in Psychology and Political Science, with additional studies in Philosophy, becoming one of the university’s most distinguished alumni. He then worked in the Ohio Senate before transitioning to the Ohio House of Representatives, gaining experience in both chambers of the Ohio State government. He even worked as a legislative aide to create a direct pipeline from Central State University to the Ohio House of Representatives for Career and internship opportunities for students.

A Scholar Who Believes in Rising to Potential
During his time at Central State University, Daquan served as Mister College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, was an active member of the Honors College, and earned recognition for academic excellence and leadership.
His achievements include:
Trustee Scholar
Outstanding Scholar Award recipient
Member of the Golden Key International Honor Society
Member of Phi Sigma Alpha Honor Society

Daquan was selected to present at the Central State Psychology Symposium and Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activities Day, where he delivered award-winning research. His presentations explored the political war on critical thinking, earning Best Presentation, and examined political rhetoric and tribalism, highlighting how divisive narratives undermine democracy and public discourse.

Daquan continues to uplift young people as an instructor for the Certified Basic Automotive Maintenance Program at T-8 Auto Sales, helping teens and young adults gain hands-on skills, confidence, and career readiness.
“Daquan co-created anti-bullying and multicultural education programs, including the No Bull-Y Be a Bully initiative, teaching elementary students about kindness, inclusion, and empathy. He also co-authored the children’s book Color Doesn’t Matter — Be Proud of Who You Are, featuring Ketchup, a lovable character who helps teach kindness, celebrate diversity, and build confidence through a fun community of friends.”

Color Shouldn't Matter - Be proud of who you are

I come to you today as a man who knows the meaning of the word failure. For a larger portion of my life, I had considered myself a failure, as every goal I had set out for myself seemed to evade me at every turn. I was failing to be the student and man I knew I was capable of being. It wasn’t until I began to learn from my mistakes, reflect on myself, take accountability, and change my perspective on everything I thought I knew that I began ... my journey of growth. I am here before you today not only because of my successes at Central State but because of my failures in life.
I desire to reinvigorate politics” for Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC), especially young people. Recognizing voter turnout for young Black voters is low. I want advance change.....be a change agent.....be a movement!
I want to be President one day...yes I said it! I want to show people that you can do that! Look where I was. Just because you’re in a compromised situation, it doesn’t mean you should be deterred from wanting that. I want to open opportunities for other people like me.
